”Marauders are the living nightmare of any aircraft that enters the atmosphere, and the Type-B is the living nightmare for any plane that dares to merely enter the atmosphere. With its 4 Chain-Fed Quad Anti-Air Homing Missile Launching Tubes, the Marauder Type-B is able to literally blow-up any aircraft that dares to fly within its range. The missiles utilized by the Marauder Type-B’s system contain an armor piercing tip, and a retarded-ignition warhead, which allows the missile to drive itself within the hull of a ship before exploding, causing the largest amount of damage possible, and if the target is shielded, the missile will explode on impact, causing severe damage to the shielding systems, lowering them to a dangerous level or perhaps overloading them completely. Since the missile system uses practically no energy, the Type-B Marauders have a much smaller energy reactor than the Type-As, thus all the space that is freed is used as storage for missiles, allowing a single Marauder to carry a total payload of 32 warheads, enough to decimate a whole squadron of attackers.

Defensively, both Marauders have average shielding and armor, lighter than the one used by Devourers, yet much stronger than the ones used by Cheetahs, also Marauders are able to move at faster speeds than Devourers, thus allowing them to respond quickly to threats. Marauders have a crew of two, a Pilot and a Gunner.

However, Marauders have one detrimental downside: other than their main weapon, they have no other form of self-defense, thus Marauders are particularly vulnerable against other ground units. Therefore, it is not unusual to see one escorting Devourer per every squad of Marauders, which usually consists of two Type-As and one Type-B. Which brings forth the next topic, the only way in which the two types of Marauders differ: Their turrets, Type-As use the Quad-Cannon turret, while Type-Bs use a Chain-Fed Quad Anti-Air Homing Missile Launching System, the carriage (or body) of the vehicle is the same for both models.

The use of Marauders by Battlefield Commanders is extremely varied, so it can be said that Marauders are constantly on the move from hot spot to hot spot on the field as the threat from airborne attacks becomes imminent.”
